Your Visit to Lighthouse Baptist Church…
Visiting any church, especially a new one, for the very first time can be a tough experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What’s here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many more questions surface. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Lighthouse Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you will feel welcome. Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
1. Finding Us…
You can’t miss our location on Gharrett Street at the top of the hill. Just look for the cross! As you pull into the parking lot there will be greeters to assist you in the right direction.
2. What’s Available for our Children?
Starting with an excellent nursery, there is something special for every age child from birth through sixth grade! At every service on Sunday morning there is safe, clean, and highly staffed nursery care for those three years of age and younger. For the infants, mothers will receive a notification so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
Kids need to have a great time at church! They need to know about God and that living for Him is the best way to live! Perhaps most importantly, they need more than babysitting. They need character development, personal love, and spiritual nurturing. The children’s ministries at Lighthouse Baptist Church have been developed to make church fun and spiritually productive for your child. Your son and daughter will be given special attention from trained staff and volunteers and will love the games, songs, and Bible lessons each week.
3. What’s Available for our Teens?
Teen years for young adults are some of the most confusing, exciting, and potentially dangerous years of life! Some parents are at a complete “loss” for how to deal with these years, and most teens need far more than they will find on television, from their peers or at school! The teen ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church will help your whole family navigate the “teen years” with guiding principles from the Bible. Each week teens can enjoy solid Bible teaching, helpful friendships, mentoring from Godly leaders, and activities that provide “good, clean fun!” Help your teen chart the right course starting this week!
4. What Are the Services Like?
Sunday mornings, you can participate in encouraging and uplifting music, as well as enjoy inspiring music from soloists and special groups. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message given by Pastor Tom Lemmons.
We also have a Sunday evening service that begins at 6:00 p.m. Again, in this service you’ll enjoy the special music as well as a challenging and helpful message from our pastor. We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for a mid-week Bible study and prayer time. If you can’t be our guest on Sunday morning, we hope you’ll visit with us during another service time.
5. Do You Offer Small Groups?
We offer several adult Bible classes that are held at 9:45 am, prior to our Sunday morning service. They meet the need that people have for fellowship, discipleship, and personal Bible Study.
On Saturday morning, the men of Lighthouse Baptist Church meet together at 9:00 AM for a time of prayer. We believe in the power of prayer and realize that if anything of eternal value is going to be accomplished in Western Montana, it will only be through prayer. This is a time for men to come together to encourage, and help one another through corporate prayer.
6. How Should I Dress?
There is not a dress code at Lighthouse Baptist Church for our guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Lighthouse Baptist Church! We would encourage you to come dressed to honor and worship the Lord.
If there’s something we missed on this list, just give us a call at 406.327.7248, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it has been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Lighthouse Baptist Church will be special! We exist to serve the Lord and help you and your family. We hope you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment you step in the door! Let us know how we can serve you better. We hope to meet you personally this Sunday!
