Tom Lemmons was born on April 28, 1968 to Dale and Kathy Lemmons in Dover, New Hampshire.  When his dad’s enlistment to the Navy was finished, Tom’s family moved to Washington state.  Tom Lemmons was invited by a neighbor to ride a Sunday School bus to Riverview Baptist Church in Pasco, WA.  At age six he trusted Christ as his Savior and, thru his desire to be baptized, his dad and grandfather came to church and were saved.  While attending Riverview, Tom developed a heart for God and the ministry by serving with his family in the bus ministry and going door knocking with the youth group.  During a national youth conference, Tom was called to preach at the age of thirteen, under the preaching of  Dr. Jack Hyles.

Tom Lemmons attended Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin.  It was there that he met his future wife, Dawn.  Following his Sophomore year, Tom spent his summer break as a youth pastor in Clarkston, Michigan.  Upon college graduation Tom became the youth pastor for First Baptist Church in Watseka, Illinois.  In May of 1992 Tom and Dawn were married and the Lord called them to serve under the ministry of Dr. Dean Noonan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Tom was a Sunday school superintendant, Christian school teacher, athletic director, head basketball coach, and bus captain.

In 1996, Pastor Lemmons felt the Lord calling him to start a church in the Northwest, so he took a survey trip to Montana.  During this trip Pastor Lemmons knew God wanted him in Missoula, MT.  After a year of deputation, the Lemmons’ moved to Missoula.  The Grand Opening service for Lighthouse Baptist Church was on April 15, 1998.  The Lord has tremendously blessed and has brought many faithful laborers to help in building this work for Him.  Lighthouse Baptist Church is a light set on a hill in Missoula, MT.

Since coming to Missoula, the Lord has graciously blessed Tom and Dawn with three sons: Dylan, Nathan and Benjamin.
